For this UX case study, more time and focus were spent on the web development portion. This micro-site was built using Visual Studio, applying everything I have learned on web technologies and programming codes like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have also used web development frameworks such as Bootstrap and jQuery to speed up the efficiency of this case study.
Overall, this took about 4 weeks.

My Reflection
Building Academiq was both an exciting and challenging experience, especially as it was my first real dive into web development. Before this project, I had never worked with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, and taking on the task of creating a functional and visually appealing online learning platform felt overwhelming at times. I had to learn everything from structuring web pages to styling elements and implementing interactive features, all while ensuring a responsive and smooth user experience.
The biggest challenge was time. Completing this project in under two weeks meant intense learning, late nights, and a lot of trial and error. Debugging became a daily battle, as simple mistakes in my code could break entire sections of the site. JavaScript, in particular, was tough to grasp at first, especially when handling dynamic elements like course enrollments and user interactions.
Despite the difficulties, this experience has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing Academiq come to life from scratch has deepened my appreciation for web development, and I now feel more confident in my ability to build and refine web applications. This is just the beginning, and I’m eager to keep learning and improving.
