05 Game Designer Internship Project - Logistics Rush

This was my Internship project in my final year of my Game Design & Development Diploma where I worked as a game designer at The Logistics Institute Asia Pacific (TLIAP). The goal of the project was to created a 2.5D simulation game on the process of logistics and how stocks and deliveries are managed from the warehouse to the retail stores.

Graphics Designer
I created all of the icons found in the game that players use to navigate around the game. These icons were created using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I used a space grey and a light yellow as the colours contrasted well together. The icons also had a circular border at the edges as it is a touchscreen game, and is easier for the placement of the player's fingers when selecting an icon.

3D Modeller & Animator
I used Autodesk Maya to create and animate 3D model of objects in the game, such as these vehicles. These vehicles can be seen moving around the game map, as more vehicles are purchased by the player. There were 3 different types of vehicles (motorcycles, vans and trucks) with 3 different colours each (Red for speed, white for standard and green for eco-friendly) to suit the player's needs when planning the distribution of the deliveries.
I also modelled the shopping malls along with the shops inside the mall, where the players can plan & route their deliveries from the delivery bay to the respective outlets. The mall had humans walking around which were also modelled and animated, so as to make the game look more lively.
